About us

Davington Events was founded in 2002 as a tailor-made tours company by Heather Davies. Heather started her career as an events organiser and then moved into travel and tourism in 1998, first as a professional tour director and then as a London Blue Badge Guide. Her events background and experience of touring with groups all over the United Kingdom and Europe, makes for a winning combination of organisational skills and in-depth knowledge. Heather’s ethos is that every group is different, every one unique and should be treated as such.

Heather is joined by Fiona, who has over 30 years experience of tour operating behind her having worked for some of the major tour operators both on the ground and in product management. Fiona is also a London Blue Badge Guide and has a passion for languages. She speaks fluent Italian, some French and German and continues to learn Chinese, without much success!
