Leeds Castle
Leeds Castle advertises itself as the ‘loveliest castle in the world’, and when you see it from across the lake, surrounded by swans and peacocks, you will surely agree.
Home to many of England’s Queens and noble families, rescued from dereliction in the 1920s by an American heiress, it is a beautiful and inviting building.
The gardens surrounding the castle are a feast for the eyes and the maze a challenge for the sense of direction.
There is also an aviary and several greenhouses, not to mention the tea room and castle shop!
